- Cordelia was annexed to Fairfield to secure municipal services and is now really a neighborhood of Fairfield. Fairfield's population in 1999 was 92,372. Has increased 33% in the past decade. 30% of residents are under the age of 18 according to the 1990 census.
- Cordelia with its largely new family-oriented subdivisions has few crime problems. Local newspaper reported in 1996 that Cordelia has the lowest crime rate of any Fairfield neighborhood.
- Lots of new development in the hills and in Cordelia.
- Travis Air Force Base is located in Fairfield and employs 16,400 military and civilian personnel.
- Westamerica Bancorporation recently built a new office complex. A biotechnology park is proposed in the next five years on land around TAFB. 35% of the workforce commutes outside the county. Cordelia is less than ten minutes from the Benicia Bridge. Ferry to San Francisco is just 15 miles away in Vallejo.
- Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville is just minutes away. San Francisco International, Oakland International, and Sacramento International Airports are within an hour's drive of Cordelia.
